The Little Birds is an online community dedicated to assisting families of special needs children to find and connect with service providers in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. The Little Birds outlines inclusive, recreational activities, establishments and events. The goal of The Little Birds is to create a safe, non-judgmental online space for families to seek guidance related to supporting their children with special needs.
Julie Johnson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years experience working with children and young adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings both educational and recreational. As the parent of a special needs child, Julie understands firsthand how challenging it is to know what “next steps” to take when navigating the world of early intervention and special education. Julie hopes that her role as both educator and parent will help assist other families in finding the best path forward for their child(ren) and families. Originally from Exeter, NH, Julie lives in Southern Maine with her husband and two young children.
