Overview

All children serviced through The Little Birds Foundation must have a medical diagnosis to qualify for care. Examples of medical diagnoses include (but are not limited to) autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Cerebral Palsy, Hearing/Vision loss, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome or other genetic conditions. If you’re not sure if your child qualifies, reach out to Julie.

Additionally, all children will undergo a free screening before care is delivered. Screening will consist of both interview with caregivers and direct observation of the child either at home or (when applicable) at school or in therapy.

Our Services

In-Home Care

In-home care consists of a qualified LBF employee coming to your home to provide care for your child(ren). At least one child in your home must have a medical diagnosis to receive care, however we will also care for any neurotypical siblings. Care could either be ongoing or reserved for special occasions. Exact cost depends on amount of siblings in the home needing care.

Drop-Off Events

Drop-off events for The Little Birds Foundation will consist of supervised care at one of our partner locations. Children are free to be themselves, socialize and play in a safe, comfortable space geared toward children with all abilities. Staff to child ratios will be determined based on the needs of the group. Neurotypical siblings are welcome. Events will typically occur on weekend afternoons or evenings.
